After everything fell apart with our potential investors, I still had a team to support.
I had already hired people, and even though we didn't have clients yet, we decided to keep moving forward.
We acted as if the money had already been invested.
We checked our “investments” to see whether they were winning or losing. We attended conferences as if we were already managing the investments we planned to make.
We weren't pretending to investors that we had money. We were keeping ourselves mentally engaged in the work and believing that we could still make it happen.
That mindset helped us keep moving.
Then, at the end of January, an actual client called.
Three weeks later, we had a signed written contract.
Our hedge fund was finally operating at full speed.
The lesson?
Sometimes, you need to keep working toward your vision before the results become visible.
Keep the belief—but keep taking real action, too.
What dream are you still working toward, even before the evidence arrives?
